Spectator Safety

New for 2005 the event programme will form part of the new Official British Rally Championship Magazine, which will be on sale during the event and from the championship website at BRCweb. The magazine is packed with lots of articles on the championship.

With the event moving back to Carlisle the event will be using more of the forests on the western side of the Kielder Complex plus the all-new spectator stage just outside Carlisle.

The route for this year’s event includes "Safe for Spectator" areas (marked in GREEN) and "Prohibited Areas" (marked in RED). ALL spectators, media and marshals are prohibited from the red areas. NOBODY may enter these areas. The stage will not be allowed to start if anyone is found in these areas.

The Green "Safe for Spectators" areas are aimed at the inexperienced spectator, or those with children. The viewing is good but deemed safe by the Deputy Clerk of the Course and the Chief Safety Officer. These ARE NOT "Spectator Pens". Anybody may leave these areas at their own discretion but are required to observe the general safety advice, and do so at their own risk.
