BIG BUSINESS BACKS RALLY

The organisers of the Pirelli International Rally are delighted to announce that the event will be supported by Kingmoor Business Park who are joining with the Carlisle City Council to back the rally, the Second round of the Kwik Fit/Pirelli British Rally Championship, when it blasts off from the historic Border city over the weekend of 20 th/ 21 st. May when “Rally fever” grips the town and hordes of competitors, support crews and enthusiasts from all over the country descend on Carlisle, filling every hotel and guest house to capacity.

A spokesman for the rally commented, “It is great to be back in Carlisle again, the rally is very much linked to the city and we are absolutely delighted with the interest and support from Kingmoor Business Park and Carlisle City Council. I am sure we can promise them and all local enthusiasts, a thrilling and spectacular weekend of motorsport featuring the top drivers in Britain and, indeed, from Europe.

To entertain the crowds expected to throng to see the cars, the Pirelli International rally organisers have constructed a special “Spectator Stage” near Crosby on Eden, within easy commuting distance of Carlisle, where facilities have been laid on to get a close up view of the high speed action, complete with informed commentary, all in complete safety.
