An interesting and intriguing competition with a very lucrative prize is on offer to all Service Crews and support personnel visiting the Pirelli International Rally and the associated rallies running alongside the International event.

The rally organisers, in association with Pirelli, are offering all the “Backroom Boys” the chance to try their driving skill on the well known Pirelli Rally Simulator, currently featuring a ford Focus WRC car, and to compete for a really mouth-watering prize, worth some £500, of an “Italian Track Day” where the lucky winner will have the opportunity to drive really exotic machinery such as Ferrari, Maserati and Lamborghini.

With the advent of central servicing”, a spokesman for the rally explained, “We have noticed that there are long periods of inactivity in the Service Area so we thought we would provide some entertainment for these guys while they were waiting for the cars to come back from the forest. They don’t often get much acknowledgement so it will be nice to see one of them pick up a nice reward”

Entry forms for the Simulator challenge will be distributed round the Service Area at Carlisle Racecourse and all crews present will be eligible to take part.
