This year’s Rally will run on Saturday 28th April. We will be the second round of the Prestone British Rally Championship, and the FUCHS Lubricant MSA British Historic Rally Championship, as well as a round of the HRCR Motoscope Northern Historic Gravel Rally Championship. We are also very pleased to be a round of the new Rally2 Challenge.
For spectators, we would like to remind you that our event does not require you to purchase a ticket to be able to view any of the stages. We will be publishing maps to the spectator car parks and stages in the weeks leading up to the rally – so please do keep checking the website.
As an organising team we have looked hard at the costs to compete on our event in 2017, we have come to the conclusion we need to reduce the cost for both the competing crews, but also for us as organisers, so for that reason, we are going to trail a new format for 2018. This will be a one day 85 stage mile rally, with all servicing taking place in the Kielder Valley. This allows us to run a ratio of almost 50/50 stage to road miles. It will also allow for a ceremonial finish in the lovely town of Brampton on a Saturday night, that should be lively. We feel it will in no way reduce the challenge of our rally and make for an exciting, action-packed day.
So, welcome to our website, which contains all the information you will ever need to know about “The Pirelli”. Links to other websites, Facebook, Twitter, and the ability to contact us are all available.
Our top priority is SAFETY. We cannot stress enough as to how important that this is to us. So we ask that if you are thinking of coming to marshal, to spectate or even participate on the rally – that you visit our Safety page and read it thoroughly. Also please have a read of the Spectator Safety – The future of rallying is in your hands article, that the Chairman of our Organising Committee has written. Thanks.
Make a date in your diary, keep checking the website for updates and we will see you there!
