Extra Incentive For Four Wheel Drive Crews
The organisers of the Carlisle based Pirelli International Rally are delight to join forces with their friends and colleagues from Wolverhampton & South Staffs Car Club to offer competitors using four wheel drive, and indeed, any other non homologated car, a unique and exciting incentive to come and enjoy two classic rallies with a great pedigree and heritage.
In an innovative move, crews who enter and start both clubs events will be offered the opportunity to win a free entry. Basically how the system works is that whoever wins the category on the Bulldog will be offered a free entry on the Pirelli Tour of Cumbria, and whoever wins that event will have their Bulldog entry fee refunded.
A spokesman for the Pirelli International Rally said, "This is a great deal for the four wheel drive crews, we have a fantastic event, offering the unique opportunity to drive the challenging, fast flowing Kielder stages and we, along with the thousands of enthusiasts who always turn up, want to see these great cars out there. We are delighted to be able to team up with our friends from the Bulldog to make this offer happen".
Run as a one day event on April 28th, the Pirelli Tour of Cumbria, which will be based at Carlisle Racecourse, will offer some 65 stage miles , with remote service facilities in the Kielder area and a dedicated "Champagne Spraying" finish ceremony back in Carlisle.
