Feedback produce's changes for Pirelli

There will be a totally new look to the 2010 Pirelli Historic Rally, which runs on April 24th. 2010, with the event organisors introducing a radical shakeup to the format of the event as a result of feedback from competitors.

The MSA Dunlop / Gambia British Historic Championship round will run as a one day event, the previous Friday evening loop being the dropped, as are the stages in the Kershope Forest complex, with the rally now being totally run over the smooth, fast flowing roads in Kielder Forest, with no double usage of any of the stages.
 
In addition, to cut down on “Away from home time”, and to assist competitors travelling to Carlisle fom a distance, the times of scrutinering have been put back until later in the afternoon/evening of the day preceding the rally.
 
A spokesman for Cumberland Sporting Car Club, organisers of the Pirelli Historic Rally said, “ We have visited several rounds of the championship , spoken to numerous competitors, listened to their views and have come up with the format of event they have requested. I am sure that the regular championship contenders will find the changes to their liking”.
 
The 2010 Pirelli Historic Rally will again use the superb facilities at Carlisle Racecourse, conveniently situated close to the M6 motorway, which will host the Start and Finish ceremonies and additionally the central Service Park.
