Challenge Evo's on Carlisle Classic

The organisers of the Pirelli Tour Of Cumbria, Cumberland Sporting Car Club, are delighted with the confirmation that the Mitsubishi Ralliart Evolution Challenge will be heading to Carlisle in April,  the Cumbrian event forming the third round of the popular one make series which was won last year by the up and coming young Dumfries driver, David Bogie.

The Pirelli Tour of Cumbria, the third round of the Pirelli MSA Gravel rally Championship, will feature a competitive and testing route with eight testing stages in the daunting surroundings of the Kielder Forest complex. The rally will be based at Carlisle Racecourse which will host the start, finish and service area.

Making the announcement, Evolution Challenge Co-ordinator, Simon Slade said, “I am pleased to confirm that the Evolution Challenge will continue for a ninth consecutive season and will still offer some of the best prizes available in UK rallying”.

Speaking on behalf of the Pirelli Tour of Cumbria organisers, Media Manager Ed Graham, commented, “ This is great news, the Mitsubishi Ralliart Evolution Challenge is a well run and hotly contested series, all the drivers will be really trying and I am sure it is going to be a great spectacle for the hordes of enthusiastic spectators who always turn out to watch the event.”
